Who We Are
The Center for Common Disease Research in Africa and Asia (CEROCDAA) is a registered non-for-profit organization company in Canada. It is a science-based, data-driven, service organization that protects the public’s health. It was borne out of many emergence of new diseases, such as H1N1, COVID-19, and MPox. It was also conceptualized to innovate and address the many public health challenges, such as diabetes, cancer, and maternal mortality etc.
CEROCDAA is known for its high quality strategic informative data. It is a knowledge hub/center to revolutionize monitoring and prediction of pandemics and public health diseases for effective global disease prevention, control and treatment response. We are part of the global public health response to health emergencies with a focus in Africa and Asia. In Cerocdaa, we put science into action to assist individuals, families and communities fight public health diseases and stay healthy.
The purpose and scope of the CEROCDAA (Center for Common Disease Research in Africa and Asia) are to prevent, protect against, control and provide a public health response to the international spread of disease in ways that are commensurate with and restricted to public health risks, and which avoid unnecessary interference with international traffic and trade.
The CEROCDAA scope is not limited to any specific disease or manner of transmission, but covers “illness or medical condition, irrespective of origin or source, that presents or could present significant harm to humans”;
The Center is focused on common diseases that are causing morbidity and mortality in Africa and Asia and will use the evidence to support community humanitarian response to most vulnerable and high risk groups. It is all about using evidence to save lives, mobilize resources and build laboratory and human capacity to produce repository of data and strategic information for advocacy, partnerships and collaborators activities.

Leadership
The center provides strategic direction and promotes research through capacity building, promotion of continuous quality improvement in the delivery of public health services as well in the prevention and treatment of public health emergencies and threats from emerging and remerging diseases.
